We are situated in the Historic Market Town of Pickering, the Gateway to the North York Moors National Park, renowned for its abundance and variety of ancient woodlands (Dalby Forest), scenic moorlands (North York Moors), dramatic coastline (Whitby, Robin Hood’s Bay, Staithes, Scarborough), and ancient historic monuments and sites. Pickering has its very own Castle first built by William the Conqueror and an English Heritage site, and we are home to the North York Moors Steam Railway (NYMR).

Room 1 “Brown” Room Refurbishment Completed We have just completed a full refurbishment of our lovely Brown Room En-suite for the 2014 season. The new En-suite benefits from under-floor heating, Power Shower and a lovely deep bath to soak away the days activity. LE GRAND DEPART OF THE TOUR DE FRANCE IN JULY 2014 – The Start of the Tour de France will be hosted in Yorkshire in July. Our wonderful “Gods own County” will host the first two days of racing on 5th & 6th July 2014. Pickering is an ideal location to base yourself during this amazing event. You can even hire cycles in Pickering, or bring your own, we have storage facilities. We have Dalby Forest on our doorstep which has marked walk and cycle routes for all abilities and caters for disabled access also. Look for the Great Yorkshire Forest.
Pickering 1940’s Wartime Weekend 2014 Dates announced for the 2014 event are from Friday 10th to Sunday 12th October. We are fully booked for 10th & 11th, but have rooms on Thursday 9th and Sunday 12th.
