Pickering is the Gateway to the North York Moors National Park, renowned for its abundance and variety of ancient woodlands (Dalby Forest), scenic moorlands (North York Moors), dramatic coastline (Whitby, Robin Hood’s Bay, Staithes, Scarborough), and ancient historic monuments and sites. Pickering has its very own Castle first built by William the Conqueror (an English Heritage site), and we are home to the North York Moors Steam Railway (NYMR).

We have a large guest car park at the rear of the cottage, with ample, secure parking for all our guests. January 2015 Refurbishment Work Complete – Beautiful New En-suite Facilities We are very excited having just completed our full refurbishment of our B&B En-suite bathrooms. They are looking amazing. With sleek, stylish new walk in showers & fixtures and fittings throughout, Hansgrohe Power showers, and finished in beautiful Italian Porcelain tiles. The new en-suite facilities of our rooms offer our guests that extra hint of luxury. Room 1 en-suite, our double overlooking the garden, with lovely deep bath & shower, also benefits from heated floor. We’ve also been busy installing a completely new heating & hot water system, and have installed a log burning stove to the Guest Sitting Room, which really does make it very cosy, ideal for relaxing with a book or planning your day trips. THE TOUR OF YORKSHIRE CYCLE RACE – 1ST TO 3RD MAY 2015 Following in the huge success of Yorkshire hosting the Grand Depart of Le Tour De France in 2014, Welcome to Yorkshire will be helping to organise and support the inaugural Tour of Yorkshire Cycle Race.
